Freezer Song

I still haven't found what I'm looking for ... Classic, great song by U2. I think I've finally understood what it's really about ...

It HAS to be the anthem for anyone looking for something in their chest freezer. It's SO hard to keep track of, and get things out of the depths, especially when you're on the short side - it gets quite cold hanging half of your body over into it. Even though I use wire baskets to organize and categorize items, I sometimes have to walk away, not having found what I was looking for, and not being able to describe where 'it' is to my husband.

Never mind spiritual yearning, this is freezer searching. Thanks, U2! Something pleasant to think about when I'm bending over into my freezer.

If you come up with a solution let me know! It’s even bad in my smallish regular freezer!

Sorry, I still struggle with this ... It's a little like the black hole that socks get sucked into.

On Wednesday, we will be getting our new freezer! So I was very interested in what you had to say. About 10 years ago we had a chest freezer that I never liked. (For many reasons.) We got rid of it after 2 years. A lot has changed since then: my shopping habits, my cooking habits, and our gardens are only getting bigger and bigger. This time we bought an upright. Sounds like it was a good decision. Thanks for sharing. :)

I can't imagine living without a large freezer, though, whether it's an upright or chest style. The chest freezer works well and does an excellent job, but finding things .... is another story.
