Out and About

Ooh, we slept all night long, so we were ready for a little more adventuring. We drove to Kleve, Germany for a short hike through woods followed by a drink at a beer garden.

We saw white storks and grey herons in the fields as we made our way to a German Aldi - we just had to pick up the few things we'd missed the day before. Their meat section was pretty smartly organized:

After dinner and a dessert of strawberries tossed in Cointreau, salt and pepper (what?), we took a walk to a restored windmill from 1857, which still mills flour for the town.
