Clothing Peeve ...

I have a design suggestion for clothes designers and dressmakers - shape women's jackets and coats according to our body shape - FYI, our hips are wide. They're not the same width as our waists, so a straight up and down, boxy shape doesn't work when we zip up! Either it's too tight around our hips, or it fits comfortably on our hips, but it's too wide and pouffy around our middles!

Or, maybe I should modernize my wardrobe, and get with the times?

Oh, and of course this has nothing to do with sedentary, middle age sag or spread!! 😀😀😀

Need to shop for a peplum style jacket? And no! Of course it hasn't to do with middl-aged spread, haha.

It IS funny! Have you EVER seen anyone wearing this in real life, Shelley?

Nope. Well, I've seen women wearing peplum dresses and "blazers" in the past but not puffer jackets. I actually like the way the blazers look sometimes. I recall one in particular that was this luxurious green velvet that would have looked spectacular with a pair of good, slim, dark wash jeans and some riding boots. It would have that old-fashioned "riding habit" look, I think. But the puffer coat really was a joke for you--even though it fills all the requirements you stipulated.

Something like this one, but not exactly. I can't find the exact image. But yes, I would wear this outfit. https://www.withchic.com/green-velvet-open-front-ruffle-hem-long-sleeve-coat/

The idea of a riding habit sounds about right to me.
