Blue Lobelia

This is the showy blue lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica) that most of us are used to seeing in gardens

The pistil is beautifully positioned between the 2 upper lobes and just above the 3 fanned out lobes below

When viewed from a different angle, the pistil looks a lot like a sunflower seed
