This late-blooming Arrowhead was found on a floating mat at the end of September. It belongs to the water-plantain family.
It looks as if this is the Grassy, or Grass-leaved, Arrowhead,
Sagittaria graminea, which is the Arrowhead that doesn't have arrowhead-shaped leaves! This one can sometimes be referred to as the Slender Arrowhead.
So delicate, with papery thin petals.
