More Magnificent Mushrooms

What an amazing relief pattern on the cap of this old man of the woods mushroom (Strobilomyces strobilaceus)! It grows in a mycorrhizal relationship with hardwoods.

Another shaggy-looking mushroom cap is this shingled hedgehog mushroom (Sarcodon imbricatus)

The uderside doesn't have gills; it is a bolete mushroom. Look at the shagginess of its underside:
