Black Beauty

I've been finding it hard to get good portraits of this all black kitty. She's sleek and glossy, as well as being very sweet and talkative, and hopelessly devoted to her 'serf,' but I kept finding that the photos I took didn't do her beauty justice.

I've been practicing, and kept trying, and have started feeling better now about capturing some of her allure.

This cute little panther is not so jet black when you get up close and personal, though it's hard to believe. This is her deer-caught-in-the-headlights look:

The darkness of her fur hides her form and details in the wrong light, and makes her look blank-faced and expressionless.

She's very playful, and has taken to thinking this basket is a good hiding place from which to launch mock attacks!
