A Burr-ds nest

Oh-oh, I got myself inadvertently tangled in a shrub covered in burrs recently. I had gone back and forth and around and about the bush a couple of times picking up beer cans before I felt the cinching on my scalp. By that time the burrs were well and truly caught. Tangled within a tangle, tighter and tighter. I had the feeling that the only way to get them out, would be to use a pair of scissors and start hacking.

But Dale combed them out very patiently and didn't resort to scissors. Here we are, looking like a pair of monkeys de-fleaing each other! It took a long time, so long in fact, that I started hatching plans for alternative ways of working them out. All I could come up with was to stand in the shower and comb conditioner through it.

I must say, the burrs that landed on my neck and shoulders during the process were very irritating to my skin, too. It felt as if I'd had my hair cut and the 'shards' were all caught around my neckline!

I know how Dale feels, I've had to do that for my dog before...LOL!
