A kayak adventure following a little trickle off the main shoreline brought me to this delightful find - bunches of bunchberries, also called dogwood bunchberries or creeping dogwood (Cornus canadensis).
I have some growing in my yard, but not as abundant as in this little grove.
What a tranquil, special location!
