These tiny pines trying to grow in the spaces between boards on my stairs create awesome shadows in the winter sun - almost like they're wanna-be palm trees!
They look so much more imposing and interesting as a shadow!
I had SO many of those little pines growing on my lawn this fall. Easy to see how the forest could surge back over our human domiciles if given half the chance.
Nature is SO impressive! Ancient civilizations have been found covered by jungle, and Chernobyl, 30 years after the accident, is rewilding and becoming a wildlife haven.
