The Cruellest Month

T. S. Eliot's long poem, The Waste Land, published way back in 1922,  describes April appropriately and accurately. I think we in the northeast can all relate

"April is the cruellest month, breeding

Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing

Memory and desire, stirring

Dull roots with spring rain."
